Webmaster students attending HTML class
HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language and it is the basic language that web pages are coded in. HTML describes content such as headings, bold/italicized text, links, videos, images and much more. Using HTML code to turn your written word into web text is called markup.
Buea Institute of Technology Webmaster students learn how to create the markup and code content for web pages via a browser interface. Webmaster students may also configure servers and manage website content. HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and related technologies, including CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), PHP and JavaScript are used to create sophisticated websites and web applications.
CSS (cascading style sheets) is used for styling text and HTML documents and JavaScript for adding interactivity to web pages (such as displaying current date and time). Webmasters may work with full-stack frameworks such as Ruby on Rails or PHP Symfony.
