The Second Semester ended at BIT (Buea Institute of Technology) this 2022 academic year with the end-of-course examinations which took place at our Malingo campus. The end-of-semester exams were written by students offering National Diploma in Webmaster, National Diploma in Office Automation Secretaryship, Certificate in Web Design and Certificate in Digital Marketing programmes.
Exams tested candidates for both their understanding and application of concepts. Papers featured theory and practicals in which case students were required to carry out practical exercises, some lasting some two hours.
BIT Students anxious to join the job market
According to BIT Director Benyella Njeko, the exams carried on smoothly and the students were particularly enthusiastic as exams not only meant that the holidays were near but that they were now almost ready to face the job market. However, before graduation, all National Diploma students are required to undertake a two-months internship at a professional institution of their choice.
BIT boasts of unique partnerships with local institutions and startups such as AfroVision group, Zinger Systems, Nishang Systems, Linkup Children, and Clone Multimedia, to name a few. These institutions provide the much-needed internship placement that helps BIT students have a taste of professional work and professional life.
